I learned somethings about the Pajero last night:
The headlights are glass lenses, the headlight washers are heated and it has cornering lamps that actually do something noticable. In situations light right turns at an intersection, they noticably throw some light in the direction you’re turning when the turns signals are on. The upper part of the corner light is the turn signal with an Amber bulb that is only on when blinking. The lower part is a white light that acts as the running light, and when that side’s turn signal is on it becomes a lot brighter.
It, of course, also has the non-us market obligatory turn signals on the fenders.
The Corvette had cornering lights, too, but they weren’t bright enough to do anything really noticable.
Unrelated to lighting, I noticed the coolant bottle was a bit low when it came off the truck. There is a faint wiff of coolant at times, but so far no visible leak that I've found. I'll have to add tracking down that small leak to list of things before it is fully adventure ready. This kind of thing doesn't surprise me on a 25 year old truck. There's also Svending (may peace be upon him) to be done this weekend.

When are you installing a 1,000,000 lumin LED light bar?

Between NM sun and being used offroad I decided to forgo any comments about Svending. I have been slowly analyzing the photos. Paint appears to have a dull metallic effect similar to 90's Ford trucks, only better. Look forward to seeing how much depth is there afterwards.
No idea what peace upon Svend means. Sounds not great.

May I ask why are we wishing peace upon Svend (doesn't sound very good)?

My 4runner has glass headlight lenses, it’s great - they’re over 20 years old and as clear as the day they were made.

He’s taking a break from Oppo. I just mean to wish him well.

Ha! I do have a set of old school Bosch rectangular fog lamps with glass lenses in the garage that I think the Pajero finally gives me something to do with. Sadly, someone removed the factory fog light and grill guard setup from the truck, but some of those holes should work nicely for mounting the Bosch lights. It still has the factory switch, relay and wiring for fog lights in place.

Frequent Svending turns out to be the only way to keep paint alive on your car down here. Otherwise, something that lives outside and doesn’t see wax on a regular basis can start having clear coat failure by 5-7 years old.

Not disputing that. Just didn’t want inspire spending a needless amount of time detailing it into showroom quality.
You can take it my initial reaction was more neutral, but it’s growing on me. Hard to overcome the deluge of SUV’s dressed up to disguise their mediocrity in recent years and see it for what it is.

I’m guessing full Svendings will be few and far between, but I’d like to compound it out and see what I’ve got. It’s future will likely be much more along the lines of an occasional wash and coat of cleaner wax.
